Our project aims at bringing the following socio-economic benefits in the region and in particular the North and South-Kivu provinces:
  • Reduce the risk of limnic eruption of Lake Kivu and appease millions of people living around the lake.
  • Enable better economic opportunities in the region by providing energy in the form of electricity and gas.
  • Create directly and indirectly sustainable jobs.
  • Contribute to better education and easy access to information
  • Improve living conditions, of which women and children suffer the most when they are precarious.
  • Supply villages around the power plant with clean drinking water.
  • Promote and consolidate peace in the region by attracting foreign capital and by creating sustainable jobs directly or indirectly linked to the project.
  • Help reduce child labour through better employment from parents.
  • Increase the revenue of the Congolese state through the payment of taxes.
