Our project aims at bringing the following environmental benefits in the region and in particular the North and South-Kivu provinces:

• Prevent sudden release of billion of cubic meters of methane and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
• Promote sustainable rural development
• Help preserve the world’s second rain forest
• Reliance on renewable energy
• Help preserve biodiversity particularly in national parks
• Promote lake Kivu ecosystem management.
